The driveway finishes we pour in Perth
Most jobs come down to four finishes. Here is the short version of each, with a link to the full page if you want to dig into the detail.
Exposed aggregate
The most popular driveway finish in Perth, and for good reason. We wash back the top layer to reveal the stone underneath, which gives you a hard-wearing, slip-resistant surface that hides the everyday muck a driveway cops. Plenty of stone and colour combinations to match the house. See our exposed aggregate options.
Honed concrete
A ground-back, smooth finish with a bit of polish to it. Honed gives you that clean, modern look a lot of newer Perth homes are after, and it pairs nicely with rendered facades and contemporary builds. It sits at the top of the price range because of the extra grinding work involved. More on honed concrete.
Grey (standard) concrete
The straightforward, no-fuss option. A plain grey concrete driveway is the most budget-friendly choice and still gives you the strength and longevity concrete is known for. A solid pick for sheds, side access, or anyone who just wants a tidy, functional driveway without the decorative extras. See standard concrete.
Coloured concrete
Add an oxide through the mix and you can take the driveway off plain grey into charcoals, earthy tones or something that ties in with your roof and render. A cost-effective way to lift the look of the front of the house without jumping up to the dearer finishes. Browse coloured concrete.
Concrete driveway prices in Perth
We would rather give you a real number than make you ring around for it. Below are our supply-and-lay rates per square metre by finish. For a rough idea, most residential driveways in Perth come in around 60 square metres. If you need an accurate quote contact us and we will arrange a time for a site visit.
| Finish | Price per m2 (supply & lay) |
|---|---|
| Grey (standard) Concrete | $90 to $100 |
| Coloured Concrete | $100 to $110 |
| Exposed Aggregate | $135 to $145 |
| Honed Concrete | $185 to $195 |
What's included: these prices cover steel reinforcement, mesh, chairs and site setup. That is the structural work that stops a driveway cracking and shifting down the track, and we do not cut corners on it.
What's quoted separately: acid washing, sealing and any earthworks sit outside the per-metre rate and are priced on the day, because they depend on the site. If your block needs a fair bit of dirt moved, or you want the finish sealed to lock in the colour, we will spell that out clearly in your quote so there are no surprises. Every job is different, so treat the rates above as a starting point and we will give you a firm figure once we have seen the site.
Built for Perth ground and Perth weather
A driveway that goes down fine in a mild climate can fail fast over here if it is not done with our conditions in mind. Most of Perth sits on sand, which is forgiving, but there are pockets of reactive clay through parts of the metro that move with the seasons and will work a slab apart if the base and reinforcement are not right. Then you have got the long, dry summers, where concrete poured in the heat of the day can cure too fast and craze on the surface.
We plan for all of it. Proper base preparation and compaction, the right steel and mesh for the slab, control joints cut where they belong, and pour timing that suits the weather rather than fighting it. It is the unglamorous part of the job, and it is the part that decides whether your driveway is still sound in a decade.

Hands-on workmanship.
The same people who quote your job are the ones on the tools. Nothing gets handed off to a subbie you have never met.
Attention to the finish
Edges, joints, levels and fall for water run-off all get done properly. The small stuff is what separates a tidy driveway from an average one.
Straight talk
We tell you what a job needs and what it does not, give you a clear price, and turn up when we say we will.
Cost-Effectiveness
On time and on the day we say. Concrete is weather and timing dependent, so we lock in a date that suits the pour and we stick to it. You're not left waiting around or chasing us up.
Suburbs we service across Perth
We are based in the northern suburbs, but we travel for the right job and cover a wide stretch of Perth and beyond.
Up north we are out regularly through Joondalup, Hillarys, Mindarie and Wanneroo, and right up the coast to Butler and Yanchep. Through the central and coastal suburbs we cover Scarborough, Stirling and Subiaco.
Out east into the hills we head to Kalamunda, Lesmurdie and Forrestfield. And to the south we look after Applecross, Melville, Willetton and Canning Vale.
Not on the list? We cover a lot more than that, north, south and through the hills. Check our full
service areas page or just give us a call and ask.

Concrete Driveway FAq's
How much does a concrete driveway cost in Perth?
It depends on the finish and the size of the job. As a guide, grey concrete runs $90 to $100 per square metre supplied and laid, with exposed aggregate around $135 to $145 and honed at the top end. Most driveways are around 60 square metres.
How long does a concrete driveway take?
The pour itself is usually a day, but you need to allow time for prep beforehand and for the concrete to cure afterwards. We will give you a realistic timeline with your quote.
When can I drive on a new concrete driveway?
As a rule of thumb, foot traffic after a couple of days and vehicles after about a week, though we will give you exact advice for your job and the weather at the time.
Do I need to seal my driveway?
Sealing is optional and quoted separately. It helps protect the surface and hold the colour, particularly on exposed aggregate and coloured finishes. We will talk you through whether it is worth it for your driveway.
